Introduction to the Test

- Classification of hazardous areas is a method of analyzing the environment in which explosive atmosphere (gas, dust) can occur and classifying the hazardous area and the non-hazardous area.
- In Korea, it shall be carried out at workplaces that manufacture, handle or use flammable liquid, gas or vapour, solids at industrial sites in accordance with the Articles 230 and 311 of the Rules on Occupational Safety and Health.
- Employer has to prepare and manage "Drawing for classification of hazardous areas and electrical block diagram" in accordance with Article 130, Paragraph 2 of the Rules on Occupational Safety and Health.
